It's like a HEATWAVE!!!
Greetings all you fine folks out in GGG Land. We hope you're
staying cool and not melting in this unreal blast of oppressive
warmth that has engulfed the East Coast. It's up around 100
degrees today in Boston and although today's plan began and
ended with getting coffee (preferably iced) and working on new
songs for our upcoming album, thus far, we've only got to the
coffee part of this multi-staged plan of action. It's just too
hot to make noise!!
We had an unbelievably exciting month of August, filled with
lots of regional touring and a trip back across the pond for
3 straight nights of performing at the Equiblues Festival
in St. Agreve, France. We also had the opportunity
to meet and hang out with Dale Watson, who
we've long been huge fans of. They say never to meet your idols,
but this guy was a big exception. He couldn't have been any
nicer to hang out with and thanks to a black eye (it's a long
story) I received on our first day back in FR, we got to hear
some pretty incredible war stories about all his years on the
road.
This September we'll be staying Stateside and have some really
exciting shows and festivals we'll be playing in VT,
CT, PA and OH. We also started recording our upcoming
album, to be released on Lonesome Day Records,
at Camp Street Studios with the Grammy Award
Winning engineering/production team of Paul Q. Kolderie
and Adam Taylor (Radiohead, Uncle Tupelo, Sarah Borges
and many more). If you follow GGG on Facebook & Twitter
we'll be sure to keep you frequently updated on the progress
of the album as we continue to record over the next 2 months.
We are super excited to get these new songs recorded and for
you to hear them!!
Here's where our touring takes us in September (and a little
beyond):

10pm

stay cool and we hope to see you soon out on the road!! And
if you're in VT, come see us this Friday night at the Langdon
St. Cafe, bring your friends, family, loved ones, co-workers,
who ever you can drum up, let's have a party!! Much love and
sweaty hugs. -Ward
