Last Sunday night we were anointed Boston’s Americana Artist of the Year at the 2011 Boston Music Awards.

It was truly a very exciting and enjoyable evening. The drinks flowed freely, spirits were high and the Liberty Hotel, where they host the awards show, was packed to the gills with some of our cities best and coolest talent. If someone had told me it was a fashion show I would’ve believed them. And if there had been an award for most underdressed I think we also would’ve won that.

We were thrilled to be in such great company with the other nominees, all of whom we consider good friends as this point. You can catch us performing with fellow nominee, Eilen Jewell, on Jan 14 at the Narrows Center for the Arts in Fall River, MA.

Thank you all very kindly for your continued support of GGG. We were thrilled to bring this award home and we hope that you can share in the excitement with us as we continue to move forward into the new year. It’s gonna be a good one, I can feel it already. Our album “Sweet Nothings” has jumped this week to #18 on the AMA Chart and we have been thrilled to see even more stations adding the album to their rotation in the last couple weeks.
