Girls Guns & Glory SELL OUT the Paradise, raise over $5,000 for Haitian Relief Effort
Monday, February 1st, 2010 | Uncategorized
Thank you to everyone who made it to the Girls Guns & Glory/Adam Ezra Group show at The Paradise in Boston on Saturday. The show was so much fun and we truly can’t thank all of you enough for all your enthusiasm and good spirits.
This show was our first co-bill at The Paradise and we were THRILLED to see the venue SELL OUT!!
The Adam Ezra Group really whipped the crowd into a dance friendly frenzy, especially when Tom Hamilton from Aerosmith joined them for a rendition of “All Along the Watchtower.” Such an awesome show!!
And thanks to the generous donations from everyone in attendance and proceeds from tickets sales, GGG, along with a very generous AEG, was able to raise over $5,000 for Partners in Health Haitian Relief Effort!! This is such a good cause and this money raised will be able to directly and immediately help people who have been injured, displaced and otherwise affected by the earthquake in Haiti. If you’d like to make a contribution or would like to learn more about Partners in Health, please visit www.PIH.org.
Thank you again so much and we hope to see you all again real soon!! Check out our shows page for more tour dates all over the Northeast, South and South West are being added rapidly!!
Haitian Donation - Red Cross Haiti Earthquake Relief!

After a week of being on the road (traveling, not gigging), I came home, made a quick dinner and turned on the television. On almost every channel there was all types of coverage of what truly seems to be an unimaginable disaster. No food, no clean water, orphaned children and little health care for those people in need. Unbelievably, it looks like the demolition of entire cities!
After about 20 mins of scrolling through the channels, there was a commercial with Michelle Obama asking for donations to the Red Cross Haitian Relief efforts.
Now, I’m a man of very little means, but thankfully I took a gamble on my ride home and purchased a $2 Massachusetts scratch ticket. Feeling fortune to be on my side and wearing my lucky socks, I scratched off three triple diamonds and turned my $2 gamble into a $30 payoff.
But now, ever more thankful for the roof overhead, friends, family and the food in my fridge, it seemed only right to donate the winnings to a cause that can use every little bit of support it can muster.
Plus, anyone who knows me is aware that the scratch ticket money would just go to gummy candy and other road snacks, all of which I can certainly do without (although I do still love them).
So, if you feel so inclined or have had similar financial good fortunes, text HAITI to 9-0-9-9-9 for a donation of $10 which will come on your cell phone bill. It’s completely legitimate and at this time and with all the suffering that is going on in Haiti it is remarkably worth it to make a pledge.
Take care of yourselves and send positive thoughts to everyone in that part of the world. -Ward and the guys of Girls Guns & Glory

Girls Guns & Glory dubbed “Best Local Band of the Decade” in The Patriot Ledger!!

Another decade is behind us and we’ve got only the future to look forward to. Truth be told, I can get into this type of thinking. I’ve got a strong feeling that 2010 is gonna be a good year and a great start to a fresh decade!! Here in the GGG camp we’ve been working tirelessly to get ready for a new album in 2010 and also to get out on the road as much as we possibly can. So be sure to keep an eye out for new tour dates and if we don’t have your city posted on our schedule, shoot us a message at info@girlsgunsandglory.com and let us know that you want more GGG in your town!!
We’re also thrilled that the South Shore’s largest newspaper, The Patriot Ledger, dubbed Girls Guns & Glory the “Best Local Band of the Decade.” The Patriot Ledger has been great to us in the 4 years of our existence and I truly hope to keep them and you supplied with plenty of new GGG music in the years to come.
Along with a great picture of GGG circa ‘08 practicing in our old studio, the Patriot Ledger also had this to say, “Girls Guns & Glory is the South Shore’s most exciting music breakout in some time. The Scituate country rock crew had two albums, 2007’s “Pretty Little Wrecking Ball” and 2008’s “Inverted Valentine,” both immense in their appeal, and accomplishment.”
Best wishes from GGG to you in the New Year and we truly hope to see you out on the road all year long!! High and Low Fives all around! -Ward
